Keep the single display monitor

People often believe that having more screens can improve work efficiency. At first, I thought so too. I even went as far as setting up two additional monitors. However, after some time experimenting, I realized it wasn’t necessary. Not only did it cost more money, but more importantly, it made it difficult to stay focused on a single screen. Multiple monitors are better suited for tasks like 3D design, digital painting, and similar types of creative work.

Maintain cloud-synced storage

Due to the nature of remote work, I often find myself working outside or even while traveling. Having a cloud-synced storage space is essential. Products like Dropbox and Google Drive are great examples, and it’s worth paying for additional storage space. Personally, I’ve been a long-time paid user of Dropbox. Files such as client presentation materials, personal photos, videos, and other documents can be synchronized anytime, anywhere. This allows you to work from anywhere in the world with ease.

Set plans and goals

Setting clear plans and goals is crucial for staying organized and productive, especially while working remotely. Define what you want to achieve daily, weekly, or even monthly, and break those goals into actionable steps. Regularly reviewing and adjusting these plans ensures you stay on track and maintain focus on your priorities. If you don’t have the habit of setting plans, you can easily lose yourself and waste valuable time.
